    Synthetic to Conventional Oil

As long as it doesn't say energy conserving in the API rating circle, you can use it with a wet clutch.

    Engine teardown

Now I see they have an 11:1 piston with armor coat, I wonder if this would be a better choice - I ride woods and occasional dunes. I also think Wiseco uses a chrome top ring and need to find out if I should use a 240 or 320 grit hone. Any idea of the benefit/drawback of 11:1 compared to 10.25...

    Engine teardown

This engine looks to me like it has low hours on it. If the bore checks out ok for OOR and taper, I think I will hone it and get an 83mm Wiseco 10.25 and a Vito's key, clean up the head a little, maybe a cam. I want to keep it reliable. I don't know if it means anything or not, I checked the...

    Engine teardown

Took off the top end last night, I thought it looked pretty good for an '87 sitting in the garage for about 4 years. Last time we were at the dunes it was terrible rich, damn carb had a 50 pilot in it with a 147.5 main, I just rebuilt it and put a 42.5 pilot back in, probably start with a 150...

    HMF Full Exhaust???

I had an HMF competition on my WR250X. It sounded real good, I used the largest end cap- the other two quieted it a lot.

    Another FNG

I scotchbrited the paint off of it, and looked at it with a magnifying glass. The first time I read it, I thought it was a 4, It matches my title To the # and letter...#10 is the grey area. I just went out and took pics of it, it is painted now and I don't want to wipe it off. Just to the left...

I just looked at my original paperwork- the title says 1987, the vin # matches the frame #'s and we switched the title in 2003 (I was thinking '06) I remember when we got it I thought it had to be 1997 because the whole thing looked new. I am damn glad it is gen 2... A-arms-shocks-wheels-...

    Need a jet

I could probably use it, the hole is enlarged a little from the easy out but the easy out was tiny and only went in about 1/16". I was just hoping to find a new one. I don't see a size on it, it looks like a fuel bleed nozzle or??? All I have is a Chilton's and they don't show it either.

    Need a jet

I've been looking at that breakdown on RM ATV, and I didn't think that was it. It doesn't have a hook to it like #8. I was hoping for a shot of the air inlet side of the carb, but they are all that pic. It has a slot in it, I thought for a screwdriver, instantly turned bad. . I put a tiny easy...

    Need a jet

I have a stock Warrior carb, during the rebuild process I took this jet out- now I think I shouldn't have. There was green crap in it I would not have gotten out, but I boogered up the head upon removal. Anybody know where I can get one, and or what it is called? I just got a Shindy kit and it's...

Ha! I am looking at a 1993 frame on ebay and it looks the same. Very strange, I have an '87 title and the vin matches, and looks legit. Might be able to run aftermarket a arms - let me know when you guys see the pics Thanks

Thanks guys- gotta go to work today, it is our busy season. I have pics on my phone, can't seem to post them from it. I will get some up later this evening. Have to call Rocky Mountain ATV back today, I thought they sent me the wrong sprocket with 4 mount holes, need to get a 6 hole. I really...

Just wanted to kind of intro myself,I am a heavy equipment mechanic by trade. Been around bikes and quads for years, probably older than most of you- (53) always liked Warriors and now I have one. I bought it for my daughter in '06, decided it was too much for her and sold it to my stepson. I...
