i am lookin for 1988 yamaha warrior 350 cdi box xu for a decnt price!!

okay recently was checkin for a short and discovered that with the ground wires unplugged from ignition it still turns over and has power!! how could this be? any info would help thanks!!! oh yeah and i have a reverse light always on when i turn ignition on, but its in nuetral!!!

okay I recently swapped for a 1988 Yamaha warrior 350 quad which needed a lot of work I bought another frame off ebay which is 1998 got it all put together except the wiring my real question is if I can bypass most of the electronics I have pull rope I just wanna hear it maybe run then fix it...
