'99 warrior starter still engaging while engine running

I forgot to mention... you can start the bike and not hear the starter keep engaging. Most of the time this behavior is seen when you are going fast and slow down real quick after the bike is warmed up. After that.... the starter keeps engaging no matter if you tap the solenoid or start button...

'99 warrior starter still engaging while engine running

Hey all, can a bad Starter One Way Bearing Clutch cause a starter to engage after the bike is running and moving? I know it's either the light/shutoff switch, starter solenoid or something else causing it. Changed the solenoid twice and it didn't fix it. Thank you!

87 350 warrior loud ping noise on rotation

Hey all... my starter broke and seized up the engine so it stalled. I put another starter on and now i'm getting a very loud ping or clang noise from the center of the engine when it tries to crank and it won't turn over. Got any ideas... thanks!

What two wires did you need to flip? The ones in the 3way or 4way plug and what colors. The last one I bought looks just like this one and the bike ran for 3 years. Thank you. (3 prong) all white to all white (4 prong) 2 blue and 2 green from stator single wire brown from stator to brown...

Yes, and even the old stator was testing correctly unless i'm testing things wrong.... these are Caltric aftermarket stators and the wire colors don't match up to Rick's Stators. My ohm tester also does not have a 2k setting so I was using the 20k setting. Was that a bad thing? Thought I would...

I'll appreciate any advice! I've had this quad for a couple of years now. Started having starting issues. Now won't start, it just clicks the solenoid. * Battery charged and verified by O'reillys and Autozone to be a good battery. Yes... I did go to both. * Starter Selenoid New * Starter New...

    Need help with a 1987 YFM 350

A few parts... Hey there.... The issue was with the Ignition coil itself first. I did change the Stator (Caltric)... and battery started charging up again but not a lot. Found out that the Front engine mount was broken... and someone suggested that it could lead to a bad grounding problem...

Electrical Issue that I cannot resolve!!!

Hey all... This Quad runs great (1987 Yamaha Warrior yfm350), it can be pull started and it did start with the start button, but it slowly over a few months just stopped being able to be started electrically. Was just getting sluggish, thought it was the Battery at first. With that said, I have...

Out of the mud... but still repairing. Received my new Ignition Coil today. What a difference... she started running way better. The rest of the issues it seems turns out to be the carb gas/air mixture and the idle screw. Now she will even pull start as long as I use the decompression...

Checked Coils Thanks for the info Moby! I did check what I could see and found that the ignition coil was definitely bad... but have one on order already. As far as the Stator... i'm reluctant to remove it from the ATV because i'm not familiar with ATV mechanics. The wire color code you...
