I finally got around to replacing my skid plate... Its a good thing too ! I got to try it out by getting "high centered" on a rock later that day, I'm impressed to say the least ! Just a cheap EBAY job but it is nice solid aluminum and works well. Then I ran the hell out of it all day...

As stated in my post.......The coils within the stator do checkout right under 1ohm. I didn't check the lights with the battery in the four wheeler...but when it is unhooked yes the lights dim with revs.

Yep, everything works as it should (starting wise) with correct supply voltage.

short of the long, does anybody have an "in depth" understanding of of the above system ? I am an electronics tech (10 years) and a hobbyist engineer. issue: "no start" theory or prognosis: was bad battery...... observation: I could bump start it, and start in normally with a jump...

As far as Ford engines, the 6.9 International from the 80's was there best diesel. They were sluggish (non turbo) but ran FOREVER with not many issues other than the occasional injector pump $$$. My dad bought one brand new in 85 IIRC, we quit keeping track of mileage at a million and it hit...

Thats great !!!!! and ironic, We went to the pulls last week and 4 duramax's ran and only one made full pull the other three blew UV's apart and doped front or rear DS. The Cummins ran the night EASILY !!!!!

good advice...... your saying feather clutch to barely engaged but hold myself back with back brake, than on the light left off brake and nail it but quickly "ease" into it to keep front end at a manageable lift !! ?

our local DS (beaver springs dragway) has "Friday Night Street Racers". This is really the only time I go to the drags, its the most fun. You can run anything that is or is not street legal. Its great and only $10 "a car load" entry fee !!

like I said its all stock except filter, jet, silencer. I'm not going to change anything for just a few passes. Just running it for fun pretty much.

Hello all, just looking for a general discussion about the above..... I am 30 and I have not ran anything down the strip since I was 15 or 16. Back then I ran a blaster that was mostly stock, accept rad valve, pipe, silencer, tire and OI disconnected and mixed myself. The Blaster was competitive...

this is good insurance on any machine, I use them everywhere possible... I have a "slim" pancake style for the Warrior but have not put it on yet, on past quads I have had to do some re-routing to make them work.
