So, does anyone know why I would just randomly need a new cable? I swear that it idled fine before the rebuild.

That's what I was looking at. I'm assuming that they're better than the other brands?

That's really the only thing I can think of. I'm gonna order it sometime this week and hopefully that'll solve my problem.

I've done that and it was adjusted all the way out and it was still sitting at about 1/2 throttle. Its just to short for some reason.

The cable is sitting right I checked that today. If I restrict some air to it it'll idle correctly so maybe I need to mess with my mixture?

Adjusting the idle won't do anything because when the throttle is at idle there is nothing sitting on the idle screw. I was told last night that sometimes if an engine is running lean that it'll cause high idle problems. I'm gonna go later today and mess around with the carb a little to see if...

Ok so I just got everything put back together from my top end rebuild and it fired up but it's idling high. The throttle cable is adjusted all the way out and it still has the lever in the carb sitting about a half inch above the idle adjustment. I didn't mess with anything while it was apart...

It's been a while since I've updated this but I finally got a head. Took the valves out and ported it and lapped the valves last night. Waiting on my gasket kit and that's about all that I have left before I can out the head back on. I'll try and get some pictures on tonight if I get a chance.

How much for just the head? Then how much would you have to have for the head, jug and piston? If you still have it of course.

Ah well I'm gonna venture to say that it didn't.
