thats where the cam gear bolts in but its all chewed up from being welded and braking.

the same thing happen to me I didn't tork down the cam bolt and when I started it up the blot came louse and the sprocket slid back and it looked the same as yours. what I did is I put a spacer that fit tight into the sprocket and also fit tight around the bolt. But the spacer cant stick out past the sprocket or else the bolt wouldn't tighten down onto the sprocket and you wouldn't be solving anything but that looks a lot worse than mine and i think that you might need a new camshaft just be careful when you set the timing message me if you have any questions.
