Actually it does help your low end a bit. Its basically an anti reversion cone, but will restrict some hi rpm power. If you do a lot of low rpm riding it might help as this works in the 3 to 4000 rpm range.

As I said before it's basically an anti reversion cone, at certain rpms when pressure is low exhaust gasses can travel back up the pipe and impeed exhaust flow, worse case it travels right back through your carburetor, but I don't think the Warrior with a good exhaust has this problem. This usually occurs when you have a stright pipe with no muffler or an exhaust with almost no back pressure. I'm sure Griff can explain better.
