    stripped

They were powdercoating some other stuff in the same color, so mine got done early. Picked it up today. Looks coooool!

    Tether kill switch

It's just a simple spring loaded plunger switch, that makes a connection to kill machine. It's so UNcomplicated that I wouldn't think any brand would be much better than another.

Update... The frame should be home from the powdercoating shop within the week. Bumper and skidplate is on the way. Woohoo

A gusset kit? I don't think my riding style is that aggressive, but I am making a pair of rails for the bottom length of the frame. They'll serve as a reinforcement as well as some type of skid/slider rails. Also considering a reinforcement in the front A-arm area. I decided to powdercoat...

    stripped

Well, I had some time to get in the garage today. Bike is completely stripped. Nothing left except the bolts. I put them all back into their respective holes, to label them accordingly. I took a buttload of pictures. Will try to post some later this week.

    Preferred clutch brand?

What brand does everyone here prefer for their clutch. What would ya recommend for me? Keep in mind, I'm mellow. I'm not building a race machine, just a freshened up stocker. Maybe a pipe, a few more cc's and a jet kit, but otherwise, this isn't a monster. in fact, the only reason for a clutch...

    Bend in the frame!!!

AAhhhh! Well, after I got the motor out and stripped some more shtuff off of the frame, I found a bend. Just in front of the engine area, on one of the 2 main bottom bars. (the low, horizontal ones) Obviously, I'm gonna straighten it, but I am also thinking about "sleeving" those tubes as...

    Exhaust Comparison

I'm casting my vote for NOT A BIG GUN. When I got my exhaust from them, years ago, everything bolted up just fine. The problem was that the length of the muffler was insane. The thing stuck out a few inches PAST the grab bar. When I called the company back, his reply was like, "Oh well...

    starter clunking sound

I'm sure I'll figure that out. If I gotta buy one, I'll probably keep it, though. I love having tools.

Gonna powdercoat it, but not sure what color. Bright silver always looks good, BUT it also looks bone stock, and after all the work I plan on doing, I don't want it to look "production." But here's the problem. Most cool colors would probably look gawdy on a frame. Now I'm kicking around...

    stripped

Well, I decided to take the plunge. Started tearing down the Warrior last night. The poor thing is all stripped down, . I figured that since I wave no plans on going out and enjoying it until my wife and kiddos have machines, too, that I may as well make a project of it while I wait. This way I...

    starter clunking sound

is this something that will require me to yank the motor, or just a cover? I don't wanna wait. The thing sounds like a piece of junk, and I'm already catching grief from my buddies for going with an "outdated" machine. lol I at least want it to look and sound good n tight, dig? I did see a few...

    starter clunking sound

Well, I bought the machine knowing that it needed a starter. No biggie. When it cranks, it does this ker-klunk ker-klunk ker-klunk. Once it fires, it runs like a top. So I but a new starter, install it, and ker-klunk. I've never had one taken apart, but from working on cars, I'm guessing that...

    Bullshit

Ten years ago, when I used to ride, there were a few sites dedicated to stopping ATV recreation by setting boobie-traps on the trails. It was insane. They showd how to cover a deep trench, how to hang a cable across a trail, and even how to use an old television picture tube as an exploding...
