    yeah i'm in springfield, we go maybe once a month or so, there is no weather that is too bad (unless a monsoon happens) as far as a good place to ride there is alot of shelf rock and somewhere around 1500 acres (my best guess) you can ride all day and not touch the same trail twice (no joke)...

    F'ing valve seals!

    yeah thanks for the input, i said f' it and bought a cam yesterday, we are going riding in this ice storm/snow crap saturday and will pull the engine afterwards. didn't really want to go ape with breaking it down but you can't sell a smoking bike in these parts for squat.

    Thanks in advance to anyone who is taking the time to look at this - with that said how do you remove the springs on a valve to replace the oil seal? Do you need to A) remove the cam? B) remove the head? C) somehow remove the lifter? D) use C4 and forget it? I have a spring compressor...

    thanks to the board for all the input, i took the "new" motor to chadwick this weekend (until it reached about 99 deg.) and was very impressed with the response from it. lots of good power and is probably the best motor mod for the dough!!!

    sombitch, i replaced the piston and had it bored .40 over, now runs like a champ decided to upgrade to doug. .190 and holeshots all around, this was one tough lesson to take!!!

    ok this stupid pos isnt going to run....i put gas down the carb from the top and turned it over and smoke came out of the crankcase vent, maybe the compression isnt that good after all
