what years yamaha warrirs can be used to get parts from i know 87 and 88 are different then the 89 up warriors...but what other years will swap parts and what years wont?

I think most of the frame and engine parts are the same from 89 to present but a lot of electrical, CDI box unit are different

87, 88, 89 are all different electrically, 90 to 95 the electric is the same, 96 to 01 their the same, and 02 to 04 the same. 87 and 88 actually use a longer swing arm but is weaker, they also use a different style sproket, smaller diameter brake disk, and a different style bearing housing, the frame is different in that it dosen't have the upper light mount, plus the CDI mounting location is different. The 87 A arms will fit all years Warriors but are different in that they have replacable ball joints and 88 and up don't (go figure). The 87 and 88 engine came equiped with a backup pull starter, and used different style rocker arms that have a small tab on the end that are used for the manual decompression lever mounted in the exhaust rocker cover. The 87 carb is just like the 94 and up carb that used one cable all the way to the carb, the 88 to 93 carb had one cable that led to a Y connecter to two individual cables going to the carb. 87 to 93 head lites are the same, 94 to 04 are the same. 02 and up used a brake mastercylinder with a brake light switch, same for the foot brake. Theres more I'm just not remembering right now.

My 96 cdi is different than my 98; the 96 has a pigtail coming out of it, and my 98 harness plug directly in to the cdi. Hope this helps...

I have an 88 350 warrior looking for front lower a arms and can not find any that will fit. Idk if there are different years compatible with this year. Can please someone inform me on interchangeable parts. ASAP would be nice. Poker run is coming soon would like to have it fixed by then.

you can only use 87-88. 87's is better due to replacemable ball joints, once 88's go bad they are garbage. Or you can buy new full flite a arms off ebay

Nees help have a 1988 warrior the front left ball joints are bad and they are not the interchangeable balls joints. so can I use the 89 a arms will they blot up to my 88? Help

89-04 a arms are not the same as 87-88. You need to use 87-88. They are a different design and style. 1987 has replaceable ball joints. They are $90 each new. 1988 had them welded in and are not replaceable. You will destory the a arm trying to remove.

Must buy new aftermarket arms to rebuild 1987's OEM arms.

above links are idea but its cheaper if you just spend $400 with full flight and buy their replacements.
