Where, apart from a yamaha dealer, can I get the valve adjusting tool (part # ym-08035 according to my manual)? I'm guessing my dealer's gonna charge me something crazy.

So you can just use a pair of pliers or something? I haven't looked at the adjuster so it's not like I could've known that. :p

Sure.. and a metric cresent. :)
I think the adjuster is like a 10mm nut with a small square drive.

A #2 sheet-metal screw with a square-bit head works great on the adjuster. I just screwed one into a piece of round wood to function as a handle/grip.

Cheap and easy.

Makes sense, I'll figure out something then. I though the head was some weird shape or something.

...also, get the specs from the book for the gap and make sure the feeler guage set you buy has the right one. I had 6 sets of feelers and only 1 had the right guage.
