I ordered the All Balls kit ,but it looks like it is only the lower bearing kit.
And yamaha doesnt offer the upper clamp/bearing with out buying a new stearing stem.
Has anyone else ran across this and if so how did you fix it?

I know that this is an old post but I hope someone can help. My steering stem is worn and needs new bearings. Does anyone know if this bearing replacement can be completed without removing the entire stem assembly? I would like to replace the bearing without tearing down the entire front end.

Nope got to pull the stem out.
And you need a funky tool to get the lock nut out so you can remove the bearing.
