this is what it does when its cold... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_Gasm7uiR8
this is what it sound like running http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0b8s8zh1-E
I have a problem with starting my old 1998 wolvy I put in a stage 1 cam and now it doesn't start to easily I tied starting with the choke still isn't any better. It also make a knocking sound while it turning over in the starter. Once it starts an warms up it starts perfect. Just can't figure it out. Tried cleaning out the carb I put a battery charger on the battery to make shure I had full charge. I have lots of power . And the power range is good from bottom to top end I get about 60 mph / 100 kmh easy with.

Any thoughts?

have you try to start with booster?
the valve noise is terrible ?
are you rocker arm worn out ?
is your valve clearance check ?

Ye A Battery charger I even took the new starter out of my brother's big bear...Valve lash set to hot cam spec. Brand new rocker arms and pins.

Well I just put in a dynojet kit did the pilot too still no different still has a hard time starting cold. I did what they said I drilled the slide and put in the 155 jet. I turns over for ever. The funny thing is when it warms up fires up before I get the chance to take my finger of the starter button.....
