Pull start question

My 88 Warrior has a pull start that is missing the rope and handle. Was that way when I bought it. Can I remove the pull starter cover and internal parts and replace the cover from a non pull start model ? I haven't taken it apart yet and any pointers would help a bunch. Thanks in advance.

Yes you should be able to do so.

How much would you want for the pull start if I gave you the little plastic cover that replaces it?

Don't know if there is anything inside the cover, haven't taken it off yet. I will pull it off in the next few days and let you know. If it's OK I may just swap you, if your cover will fit my 88.
