Hey all, I have a 2004 wolv 350 blk/blk

it has the stock tires on it and I'm looking to get new tires but stick with the 23inch size and stock rims.

What are the sizes recommended, I like the ITP mudlites, but there sizes are 23-8-10/23-10-10 which won't fit on the stock rims right? or am I wrong?

What does every one recommend.

2004 wolv blk/blk
stock, 424

Your runnin 12' rims so those sizes wouldn't work for you. I haven't had my quad very long n haven't bought tires for it yet so I can't really give u much advice on which tires to get, but I can say that I have 25' tires on mine n love em, it came with them so I can't really say if much power was lost but it rips pretty good in my eyes so I don't think much, I do have a pipe, k&n, n bigger jet but I don't think it would be too much quicker with the 23's n I usually never hit anything with the underneath of my quad cus of the clearance. You would have a heck of a lot more tires to choose from if u went to the 25's as well, jus figured it would give you some kind of input lol

Pretty much what Rida said... I bought mine with 25's and replaced them with 26" Mudlite XL's without even riding on the 25's. I have not honestly ridden a Wolverine with 23" tires in about 16 years so I can't tell you much about power lost when stepping up in sizes but I will say not to just look at what size a tire is. Major factor becomes actual tire weight, some tires are just plain heavier than others and when you are talking about rotating mass on a 350 you have to keep that in mind.

Hey, whats every ones thoughts on the Kenda bear claw k299, I'm kinda interested in those.

i ride the claws. they dont roll well and a bit heavy. i would go to the maxxis zillas. i miss mine

Not going to take credit for the info, so I quoted the following post from another thread on here.

here is a list of the most tires and weights.... i can not stress enough how much power it robs and how much harder it is on an atv if you try turning too much tire...
hope this helps

Haven't been on this site in awhile but may be able to help you. I have 2 bone stock (except both have 424's) Wolv's; both 350's, one 03 and one 04. Mine has 25" Duro tires and my wife's has stock 23's. Her's seems a teeny, tiny bit quicker out of the hole than mine but barely noticable. I think it may be the weight difference of the tires more than the size. Mine corners better eventhough the tires are bigger. Quality of ride is the same for both although mine steers a bit harder but is not any more tippy. Flat out drag racing, she outruns me by a little but she also weights almost a 100lbs less than I do. I wouldn't be afraid of 25's; my wife wants them when the stockers wear out. BTW, I recommend Duro tires. They are fantastic in mud, snow, and rocky trails. I can drive circles around my buddies honda rancher with mudlites in any trail conditions we have found yet. Pricing is close to mudlites too.
