A cheap easy way to fabricate your own clutch holding tool to hold clutch boss while removing clutch nut. Total cost approx. $5 for hardware from your local hardware store.

Tools/Hardware needed:
1. Flat Stock 3/16" thick - 3/4" width x 36" length

2. (2) 3/16" x 1" length bolt (coarse thread)
3. (2) 3/16" nuts (coarse thread)
4. (1) 1/4" x 1" length bolt (coarse thread)
5. (1) 1/4" nut (coarse thread)
6. 9/32 drill bit
7. 3/8 drill bit
8. drill
9. hacksaw
10. measuring tape
11. Mechanically Inclined!

First, Cut 8"(short side) off the flat stock.

Using the 9/32 drill bit, drill a hole 2 1/4" from one end of the short piece of flat stock. Then using the 3/8 drill bit, drill a hole 6 3/4" from the same end. On the longer piece of flat stock, using the 9/32 drill bit, drill a hole 2 1/4" from the end, and then using the 3/8" drill bit, drill a hole 6 1/4" from the same end.

Short Piece:

Long Piece:

Now assemble the 2 pieces together using the 3/8" hole with the 1/4" bolt and nut.

Lastly, install the 3/16 bolts and nuts into the 2 remaining holes.

Wala! You are now equipped to remove the clutch nut from the clutch boss!

Thanks Ed didn't see this out there anywhere and thought it could be useful. Made this up about 5 years ago when I first replaced the clutch.
