As I have said in other posts the main thing you want to worry about with the strokers is heat and piston speed. You should run an oil cooler with a stroker (Id never run one with out a cooler) or your bottom end rod bearing will be the first to go. The next thing you want to do is figure out your piston speed, this can be done pretty simple. You must calculate your piston speed to know what RPM the motor is safe up until. Since we all know that strokers increase piston speed at the same RPM vs. stock ;) this is a very very important thing to do to figure out your "red line".

The formula to calculate piston speed is:

RPM x Stroke (in mm) / 152.4 = Piston Speed

Your piston speed is calculated in FPM (feet per minute) and generally you want to stay below or around 4,000 - 4,200 FPM max for reliability.
