how much more do hd's weigh compared to std hole shots?

20-11-9's are 5lbs heavier per tire than the std Holeshots.

But the HD's are 6ply and the std's are 4ply.

And unless you are a hardcore racer it really doesnt ******* matter :-D!

I'm sure there is more than 20 lbs difference in a lot of the riders on here. Personally, I weigh 210. I'm sure a lot of ya'll are 20 lbs lighter than me. lol

The appeal of the HDs (to me) is the side bite and toughness of the tire.

Aren't heavier tires harder on clutches though?

I beat the living **** out of my clutch at the MX track and dragging and its still original OEM; hasn’t failed me yet and it certainly won’t with just a lil more rotating mass on the rear.

The warrior/rap350 motor was also used in a utility quad (big bear) when it was first designed up to about 95 or so, so the clutch pushing a little extra weight is no big deal. Some good evidence there is the ability to bore/stroke to a 400 or above and still use the same damn clutch with no problems.
