Is it ok to run at 0 deck height on high octane pump gas or should I shim under the cylinder to get under 0?

Your going to be fine with that setup. I run 0.037" on a high dome pistons with zero issues. Your good to proceed
So even if my deck height is just a bit over, I won’t hit the cylinder with the piston? I run a flat top that has small notches for valve clearance.

I just saw the piston hanging out the cylinder. And that is not going to work. I stand corrected. Is that a cheap Ebay kit?

The crankshaft is Hot Rods and the cylinder/piston is a relatively cheap kit but every review said very good things, and the next step up from it was about $400 at the time.

I have shunned it to 0 deck height. Is it safe to run the engine at 0 deck height with a flat top piston? Will I need high octane fuel?
