2001 Yamaha warrior battery holder

I brought a new battery for the warrior from Walmart and I was thinking about cutting the battery holder out more so the battery can fit it’s a es12-bs battery from Walmart

You could but then you wound need to fab a new holder. I would just return it and get one that fits.
