What did you do to your quad today?

You are going to have a blast plowing snow, Ed!!! At least the first time. Hahaha!

What did you do to your quad today?

Be glad you both got to ride. I haven't done anything except buzz around the yard this year... Got a Hatfield McCoy trail pass for my birthday and didn't even get to use it.

Hmm.... that quad looks familiar, lol

Balljoints. They are part of the arm, and are a high-wear item. Replacing the whole a-arm is the only way to replace them. Best to install aftermarket arms then to spend the money on new OEM, or piss money away with used.

    Stumped... Still stumped...

Yep, those are the symptoms of a lean main circuit. You are basically getting a big gulp of air when you jamb to throttle to WOT, or when you gradually reach WOT. Not enough fuel to keep the engine from falling flat on it's face.

Could be if he were stabbing the throttle quickly. He never said. So, OP, are you having this problem when you stab the throttle quickly? Or, is it when you begin to reach WOT gradually???

You never answered my questions about exhaust, air filter, and any other performance mods. Stock main jet is only a 145 (iIrc), and a 150 is only two sizes larger. I'm assuming you don't have a stock exhaust, and in that case, a 150 main is not always big enough. Every engine is different and...

    Quad for Dad

I've done a bit of work on the 660 Griz. It'll definitely haul ass. While I'm not a fan of belt driven transmissions, the Yamahas seem to do very well. It has a big storage compartment under the seat. Has diff lock and selectable 4wd. Has two means of starting the engine, too. It really is...

    Quad for Dad

The 350 Rancher moves out nicely. Better then the Fourtrax 300. Tops out at probably fifty. The 300 tops out at 47 mph. You can still get a front end disconnect for the older Hondas. Just type in WARN 424 in the ebay search engine. A company called Switchout now makes the WARN 424. It...

Does it have an aftermarket exhaust? Higher flowing air filter? What is the largest main jet you have tried? What notch is your jet needle clip on?

    What happened

People either move on from the Warrior, or, the "fun of the forum" has just worn off of them. Three-four years ago, this place was loaded with activity. There were so many people on here, that just replying to a thread(s) was list instant messaging. That's how busy it was, and how quickly...

    Vheap Parts

The clutch lever pulls a lot more "weight" then you may thing. Ever try moving the clutch release shaft on the engine my hand? Try and you'll understand. Lever is derived from the word "leverage" for a reason, lol. I have an ASV on my ATC350X. Ya never know when you may flip a 3wheeler.

    Quad for Dad

You cannot go wrong with a Honda TRX300FW Fourtrax. THE most durable 4x4 ever made. It's the perfect size, has plenty of pep, is fairly nimble, requires the bare minimum of maintenance, and you can still get aftermarket parts for it. Have two in the family. I've calculated the mileage on my...

    Dont really know Please help!

That is the main jet. It is not a part of the idle circuit. You need to install a larger pilot jet.

    Stock Machine vs. Mod Weight

Too cold for me. Have no place to ride around my house anyway. The only place to go for a day trip is closed until April. I've been tempted to ride Hatfield in the winter. But, the though of trudging through snow, cold, most likely wet, just doesn't give me a hard-on.

    Stock Machine vs. Mod Weight

That's why you do it during the winter months. I never ride during the winter. Best time to tear a machine down to the bare frame. Just get all parts collected before taking the machine out of commission.

    No spark

Make sure that the kill switch is functioning properly. You did get the correct stator, right? There are several differences in the stators in the first 4-5 years. Flywheels are different, too.
