htrods 379 vs cwr 400 vs hicomp 366cc

Personally I feel like that is disrespectful to call my build "intermediate rider build." You will find more top level riders riding torque motors over high reving top end ones. If the guy wants to spend $500 bucks he is not going to have enough money to get his head ported. So the next best...

htrods 379 vs cwr 400 vs hicomp 366cc

There is a lot of different directions to go. I would think about if you can run race gas or say E85 then go with the 12:1 JE piston 85mm bore if you want to run pump gas then stay with the 10.5:1 JE piston. Both JE pistons run .015" base gasket and .030-.040" head gasket this will keep the...

Adding an extra plate in the clutch pack

Yeah you don't really need them. Most guys will leave them out. They just help push the clutch pack (plates) apart...

sounds like maybe a air leak between the head and carb?

    total carnage, pics inside....BAD!

Oh no man!! I wonder if the balance shaft hit the rod?!

The program calculates total combustion chamber volume need to achive the C/R you set for the piston. I did measure total volume of my engine when it's fully assembled and will say it's with in a cc of the calculation. LED told me that is the best way to figure out true C/R. Your engine...

I don't know dunners intake so I just went off what I run.. off the carb. You would have to give me, how long and what the size is at the filter where it clamps on. The powerbomb header I'm not sure the diameter. I would think it's the same length as stock. Then I would have to know what...

I was going to say in that ball park of 34-36hp. I dyno'd 38hp with my build. Here is what I got for numbers off the crank. Same head, same exhaust, air filter off the carb (how I run mine) I'm not sure of your intake that can change a lot, same exhaust, same carb. Only thing different is...

Sounds to me like you have that thing setup perfectly man! I guessing one reason why it runs so good! And your attention to detail.

I calculated 3.5 more hp then dunners even with less compression all the way from 2k-10k rpm. With a monster torque curve coming in MUCH sooner! What are the predictions on total HP? I would be happy to run it for you if you want to give me some more specs. It will be hp at the...

I don't know if you guys have looked into tire/rim weight but I am surprised that there can be that big of a weight difference. http://itptires.com/2012-atv-product-guide.htm Check it out!

I did already. Hence why I asked you what you came up with numbers. That is fine if you want to be a dick about it no skin off my back. Just was hoping to try and figure this out with out your ******* ego getting in the way but as always that can't happen. Checked it at every 20 hours oil...

First dave76 posted that he got 36cc's when he was building his 446fst motor. I then cc'd mine (stock) and got the same results along with sending out to Duncan, loran said that it was also 36cc. But I'm sure you are right and you have got a better head.

Yes it is. I have metal shaving from it's a arms in my skin. And, it has my skin on several sharp components. Lol. I calculated 3.5 more hp then dunners even with less compression all the way from 2k-10k rpm.

I had 195-225 psi with my old JE 10.5:1 piston, depending on cam timing. I would say with that cranking compression you don't have 11:5 c/r.

I didn't think wiseco made a .080" over piston? That is only going to gain you .020" with no jug gasket, maybe a 1cc. I have 33.2cc total combustion chamber volume at 11.5 C/R stock bore and 34cc total bored to 357cc. Is that what you are getting?

I'm going to poke dunner again and say that if you beat him you then you will be able to take down 450's! All in good fun! ;) Pat your bike really is a part of you and you did an awesome job. Elite all the way man.

I don't think you can get that much from a .060 over, 10.2:1 wiseco piston. I could be wrong as I've never looked into them because they use large skirts and this will hurt performance but help the engine live longer.
