06 450 Trying to remove carb for cleaning this evening and I was able to remove the cable on the throttle side.. but I don't see how to remove the cable on the gear select side. Can anyone help me out?

I ordered the All Balls kit ,but it looks like it is only the lower bearing kit. And yamaha doesnt offer the upper clamp/bearing with out buying a new stearing stem. Has anyone else ran across this and if so how did you fix it?
