    Skid Plates?

I have had no problems using the factory aluminum plates, and would buy the exact same ones if I ever need new ones.

    Skid Plates?

I have all the skid plates from yamaha, a-arms, diff and belly skid. Plus I have the radiator guard as well. They were about the only ones available at the time when I got my wolvy. But I love them and they are VERY durable.

Update on the FST 488 kit for the 450

    wolvy 450 Big Bore

The 488 fst kit is great but takes a good bit of machining to get everything properly in there as the cases have to be clearanced to make room for the new sleeve and piston to slide down into. Which means a good guy to keep shavings out of your motor or split the cases.

    Motor dilema

The fst kits are great I got the 488 in my 450 and its a huge difference. But with the tranny being toast I would just swap it.

My 450 Revs high but moves slow. HELP!

yhea its definetly caused by water inside the clutch. I never had to replace my belt and have submerged the wolvy more than 1x. but when you pull the clutch cover off you will probably find that there is grease slung out. So clean everything up and regrease the clutch basket. Then give it a...

Update on the FST 488 kit for the 450

Yes they do offer a 500 kit but that involves a stroker crankshaft. I went with the 488 because the crank was another 300 bucks for 12ccs i didnt feel it was worth it. The 488 kit is great add a clutch kit pipe and rejet and you will be very happy.

    clutch issues

You will love the extra power of the 488 kit. But it does take some major machine work to get it done right. But you should be able to find someone to do it for you. Get the head ported while you have it off as well.

06 Wolverine 450 wont do more that 35 mph

Epi and the hauck clutch machine work are the only ones i would trust. The ones off of ebay, I have had no experience with. But i have the epi kit in mine and it works great. Hauck has been doing this clutch machine work on snowmobiles for a long time very reputable.
