hey guys, im considering trading a 2005 ttr125L for a 1999 Honda recon 250. the recon is having spark problems, guy said it sparks twice then doesn't, anyone have any ideas? would this be a fair trade?

I picked up a pretty nice 08 400ex last night, got it cheap but its ticking. every once in a while when I turn it off it will make a small "clunk". I thought timing chain but why would that clunk? also I will be adjusting the valves soon, just gotta get to doing it.
