When mine broke they still left a bit sticking out, I just WD-40'd the hell out of them and used vicegrips to unscrew them.

Well I finally got a proper cold air intake, now all it needs is O2 sensors and spark plugs. But so far, it's damn fast. Not much power below 3k RPM, but once it hits 4k you better hold on, it gives you a nice kick a 4 and 5k, it's crazy. And the sound... Oh god it's nearly orgasmic, sounds...

The regulator is on the airbox side of the front fuel rail, I actually replaced both fuel rails and the regulator with known working ones, that allowed me to actually start it when it warmed up, before it just flooded.

If you hear a ticking sound coming from your valve cover don't worry about it, it's a perfectly normal noise for these motors. Also, if anyone still cares, this damn thing still isn't on the road. I towed it over to my cottage to fix the timing belt because there's a garage there, swapped it...

Bump again, it's been a while.

Mine was giving me nonstop issues, I replaced the spring, stretched it a bit, replaced the o-ring and it still got stuck. I don't know what's wrong but I just gave up on that carb.

He said he used the FMF jet kit, are those Mikuni or Dynojet jets? And yea, don't even talk to me about Dynojet, utter useless trash. Not only do they use a completely different sizing scale, their needle doesn't work with Mikuni jets and vice-versa. I had to figure that out from experience...

Do you have the little plastic thing that goes around the main jet? It keeps fuel from sloshing around too much right under the main jet.

These quads are really front heavy, so that help immensely with keeping the nose down during hill climbs.

It's in the manual, in the general specs and float adjustment sections, you can't miss it.

I've seen some wipeouts from hydroplaning and it looked like it hurt, you either go right into the bars really hard or you just fly off. I did it once at the top of 3rd gear and when I stopped I hit the bars and got completely soaked. :P
