When I go to start my 98' wolverine it cranks over fine just wont start then if I give a little pull on the pull cord while it's cranking over it fires right up... can't figure it out... I changed the small relay and the solenoid...new starter too....
You might be running too lean.... But if you do go too slow you will overheat. I installed an electric fan and problem solved. Had to make some brackets but otherwise it simple. Just a switch and turn it on when you need it.... I used a pusher fan from Spal Fans It's the 5" model.

Your clutch is out of adjustment.... Look on the pull start side you see a flat head screw with a nut on it look at ur manual on how to adjust.....
Ya I did all that been fighting this bike for a couple years. I think I finally nailed it down I took the whole body off and removed most of the electrical tape off here and there where I could get at it. And I found two wires that where twisted together and had worn the sheating off just...
Just wondering if anyone else has a water sensitive wolverine? Mine get wet it stop almost running. If it stalls out it takes for ever to start it again. Just seeing if it's only mine that reps this.
Well finally last week i figure out the jetting it ran like a top. Started without touching the choke or throttle... so this morning i fire it up just to warm it a bit before i took off for the day.... So a bit later i go to start it i get a click....then nothing so I check my battery full...

Mine is total opposite it starts like **** when cold but excellent when warmed up Plus to start it I have to bring the idle screw way down to the point of stalling for it to start. If I don't it kicks hard on the starter. I posted a vid of it in another post.... Just wondering if...
