loved it when it worked..... but really did not work very long.... cooks the clutch disks easy.i should update my profile i took it out.......i never use the wolverine anymore, should sell it bought a rzr sxs and will never go back....
mine does the same thing..... it is from the big bore kit and compression...... next time it dont turn over try pushing it in gear and get the piston to move down..... all i can think of doing is put a release valve in the head like they do on some of the harleys....
here is a list of the most tires and weights.... i can not stress enough how much power it robs and how much harder it is on an atv if you try turning too much tire...

in my opinion there way to heavy..... not the best for a wolverine if you ask me.... and to be honest as good as they look, i have a few friends that have them on there bigger atvs, and there not that good, they are very oval shaped ..... meaning they ride on the center of the tire....have seen...
spacers are spacers in my opinion.... get the solid type with the holes drilled in.,.. made out of good quality aircraft aluminium.....
or do what i did, i found that with aftermarket rims the offset is a little different and that set the wheels out just enough

well the verdict is in, motor is apart, and toast... the wet clutches burning up and getting sucked into the motor with the oil has scored the jug and collapsed a ring, all the oil gallies are plugged with silty wet clutch particals...... so i have ordered the 488 kit now and will go big i...
well I got my wolvy all back together this week and took it out for a rip today,
I swapped out the epi wet clutch springs to the stock springs ( with all new wet clutches) blue secondary epi spring and I also changed out the weights ( rollers ) to the hauck custom weights set at 17.4 grams...
any of you ever burn out or have there CLUTCH HOUSING and or CLUTCH CARRIER ASSY slip? from what i see the clutch disks look glazed over and very warn out one end....
what i noticed was it not grabbing until higher rpms, so i changed to a new belt and that did not help so i took more apart...
ok so here is the chain of events to a crappy running 450 wolverine
for starters a few rides ago it was bogging down big time on a ride. starving for fuel.. so I cleaned out the float bowl and blew out the jets..seemed to have fixed it pretty good. all but at very top end speed it has still...
I would like to add that the same thing happned to me with the gear addative had opned up and soaked the box ( and it smells very strongly ) highlifter did say the chevy oil is the same but you do not need a full bottle, i was told you do not need much at all. like 1/4 of the bottle....not sure...
