My compression is at 110 psi. From what I'm seeing on other forum posts, the minimum should be 114, but it wasn't specifically for the 87 model. Would that 4 psi difference be enough for it to not run?
No luck unfortunately, the new intake boot did not fix it. Still repeatedly trying to start and making terrible clicking noises. Someone who owns a lot of warriors is coming to check it out tomorrow so hopefully they figure out something
Found 2 small tears in the rubber boot holding the carburetor to the engine and I also realized the engine only sounds like it's trying to start whenever the choke is pulled out. Gonna order a new one and hope it has something to do with the air fuel ratio being messed up
Here's an update: Tested again to make sure it wasn't the starter. Tried to start it with the ignition coil disconnected, worked just fine, no jolting as the starter smoothly kept turning over the engine. Plugged the ignition coil back onto the spark plug and it started jolting again. In both of...
I'm not sure about that, the weird part is the starter seems to crank just fine before I put fuel in it. Perhaps I should try again with no fuel to double check.
Still trying to get my 87 Warrior fixed up. Whenever I try to start it now, it seems to jolt and make a noise like the engine is getting stuck, but to be honest I have no idea what it could be. Any ideas would help, video attached.
Alright just bought it off of partzilla. The yamaha parts website wanted me to spend $20 more on shipping. I'll give an update when it arrives and I install it
It seems like this is also the same thing for a bit less?

Would this be the genuine 87 key switch?

I'd rather not pay so much for something like that, but if there's no other choice then alright
Just as the title says, I have inconsistent spark. I have a 1987 warrior 350 and whenever I hold the start button, it'll spark once and then not spark again for another 10 or so revolutions. I've replaced the cdi, stator, ignition coil, spark plug, and also got a new key ignition switch from...
Found a list of parts and diagrams on partspitstop.com, all I gotta do is order them, just haven't gotten to it yet. Mainly still dealing with spark issues
