Usually a problem with the carb boot will cause it to rev really high at idle. Sounds like the main jet in your carb might be plugged up a bit.

What does your spark plug look like? Sounds like you may be running rich. Post a pic of your spark plug.

It doesn't say what size filter fits. I was hoping someone who had one knew off hand so I could order the filter at the same time. Kinda sucks to order the part, wait a week, measure it, wait a week for the filter to come.:argh:

Could be valves are out of spec. Is it backfiring out the carb or the exhaust?

So I was looking at one of these K&N air filter adapters and I am wondering how exactly they mount up? I see there is two screws but no nuts so I assume the screws must go from the outside of the air box and thread into the adapter itself? Also what K&N filter are you guys using with these...

Thanks for the feed back guys! I went ahead and installed the kit without the extra plate, it grips a lot better than clutch pack that was in it when I got it. I haven't decided whether it's worth it or not to take it all back apart and add a plate. Maybe in a couple weeks when I get bored...

The Tusk kit comes with "Heavy Duty" springs for what it's worth. I'm a big guy and don't mind the extra clutch pull if it's safe to add a plate and worth the gains.

So later this week I will be installing a Tusk clutch kit in my Warrior. It doesn't take much reading around to find guys talking about adding a clutch plate into the stack for a better gripping clutch. Is that something worth doing with my brand new clutch or should I wait until I notice...

I am not asking how many I should buy. I am asking if I should skip the 147.5 and go right to the 150+ size jets. Not sure if the 147.5 will be enough of an increase to even bother?
