I have the Z400 carb with a 147.5 main jet and 30 pilot jet. When I rev it up it pops and high RPMs. When I let off the throttle it idles real low and almost wants to die but then returns to normal after a few seconds. Im at about 3500 ft in elevation.
I think I have it sorted out, the CDI wasnt grounded. But now Im having an issue and it wont stay running unless the clutch is pulled in. I even disconnected the neutral switch and grounded it to the frame. Still will only run with the clutch pulled in.
I purchased an 89 Warrior and it was running okay when I bought seemed like it just need the carb cleaned and adjusted. I changed the oil, spark plug, oil filter and checked the valves. The old carb busted when I dropped it. I did the Z400 carb mod and now its misfiring and not staying running...
I'm in California and Just picked up a 95 warrior today for $300. Definitely going to need a lot of love. Second quad I've owned the previous being an old mojave.
