What is easiest way to remove ball joints without any special tools?

Pickel fork & a hammer. Pickel fork tool is like 10$ or less at any tool store. But; you gotta be careful not to tear the boots up doing it. They shred pretty easy. Maybe put a rag around the pickel fork and go easy with the hammer
