First time post here. This is actually my friends ATV but I offered to fix it in exchange to be able to use it whenever.
It is a 99 Yamaha Warrior, has been sitting for over 4 years and didn't run correctly before that(hence why it sat).
After trying a carb rebuild I ending up just getting a new carb (a little jet tinkering) and I now have it back up and running.
I have also changed the oil and oil filter, installed new grips, replaced front and rear brake pads, and re lubed the chain.
I think I still need to play around with the jetting and needle but it now stays running and can be ridden
