well finally got some of the customer stuff out where i can spend a little TLC on my quad... figured i would start a build thread on it so that i can keep it all in one place... it is a 96 warrior frame, with 08' Raptor everything else (shocks, motor, shifter, foot pegs, etc), as she sits now it has 22 x 11 x 10 fronts tires, 25 x 12 x 9 rear tires with a 10 -42 gear set, Raptor air box/carb, K&N filter, jet kit, Stock 350 raptor exhaust with after market spark arrestor... and that is pretty much how i got it... i am not 100% if i am going to pull the frame for powder or not yet... but have to do some upgrades to it

I have a good amount of parts gathered up so far... nerfs, Ebrake eliminator, adjustable clutch lever, twist throttle, bars, risers, etc... also have one of Sparkymichigan's Torq header pipes coming. I hope to pick up some new fenders today cause as you can see mine are all cracked to hell up front.

first plans are some powder, plastics, change the gearing (14/40), new rims and tires to get rid of the huge tires it has now, and a custom deadlastracing wrap for it... then we will see where this goes

That thing is gonna be sick! You should however put this thread in the build section.

i would love to! i looked all over, i am more than happy to move this (or an admin can) i just have no idea where that section is hahaha

Look in the pictures section. There is a spot in there called build progress logs. I want to keep on un this one cause i think its gonna be sweet when done!

im loving that tail light deal,, good job, i gotta see it when you get it working should look sweet!!

Thank you for the relocation! The major part of the build will not take place till spring when we slow down in the shop and have more time. The next few months will be mostly mocking up parts as knocking out any metal fabrication that needs to take place. Not really my style to do a long drawn out build but I have to put my customer orders first, plus a 6 month old at home is pretty demanding. Never the less ill add updates as I go though. I will try to make use of forum member services as much as I possibly can as well. As of right now I do not have plans of opening up the motor for a bore or cam. I will do the cover mod to add a cooler though. Plan is to get this done and ride it a bit. Then give it to the wife where u can pick up another one or a 660. Who knows I may keep this and build her one she designs. This is my first quad so I am playing this one as I go. Thanks for all the info this site is great! If I am missing anything you guys suggest I do please let me know I am all for suggestions!

I would agree with leaving the motor alone for now. Thats how im doing mine as well. So far it has enough power for my type of riding and it runs to good to pull apart!

really need a twist throttle cable if anyone has one for sale!

I would just ditch the twist throttle because a twist throttle on a quad is an accident waiting to happen..... just my .02

Honestly im not to fond of the one on my kx 250 i feel alot safer and under control with the thumb throttle but i broght the idea up one day and got told that was the dumbest thing they ever heard

cool i will trust in yall's experiance and leave it alone then... i just come from motorcycles and this was a different feeling, for some reason is completely different than the snowmobile feel.

hopped in the jeep yesterday and took a 2 hour drive to the country and got these suckers for $85 bucks... no cracks but some scratches... should clean up really nicely

my red hood has holes drilled in it from where the previous owner tried to repair it... so i either need to find a red hood or black one
