Hey-
I am new here, just picked up a 1988 Warrior. Its in rough shape but runs and moves. I will be rebuilding it over the winter as a project.

I have been doing some research on the 88' and I am getting unclear answer about the suspension and a-arms.

What is the difference between a 88 a-arm and a 89 a-arm?
My warrior currently has 3 stock a-arms and one lower left a-arm from a second gen warrior. it seems to fit just fine,

Will a 87 a-arm swap with a 88? Are the ball joints on a 88 A-arm replaceable?

Can you replace bushing on the a-arms with the same plastic delcron bushing you would use for a second gen?

Thanks! I look forward to using this forum.
Will front and rear shocks from a second gen fit a first gen?

87 and 88 arms are the same except the 87 arms have replaceable ball joints and the 88 do not. 2nd gen arms will not fit a first gen in any shape way or form with a unmodified frame because the suspension geometry is 110% different. 2nd gen arms are shorter and slightly skinnier than 1st gen arms.
The upper arm bushings are the same but the lower arm bushings are different on first gens.

Yes on the shocks btw.
