Ball joints

On my 87 warrior the boots for the ball joints are garbage, they are very loose and weathered. How do I remove them? I was told that I need a spanner that will break them free? And where do I find new ones? I've searched through motosport and I do not need to by all new upper and lower a arms..

I used a pipe wrench on my 87. If memory serves the ball joints on a 89 can not be removed. My bad, I looked at your name and thought it was a 89, I just reread it and saw it is a 87, sorry.

I used a pickel fork attachment to the impact gun

Pipe wrench and a hammer will do it.

i used a pipe wrench and a torch, i heated mine up and it came out real easy.
