Ive read on here that when someome swapped a different yr motor the flywheel needed to be swapped with the stator. So if everything is the same can any CDI be used if I wire it myself? Wiring doesnt bother me at all.

Ive come to the conclusion that parts are not plentyful for my 88 so im thinking about swapping to newer electronics ie harness ignition ect. Now from reading on here the motors are the same and what sets them aside is the flywheel and (brain fart) the part with the pickup coil. Please correct...
