Update: reached out to full flight and apparently this is an updated design, just not one that fits the description or pictures. They are still in the process of changing things on their website and the picture/description is more or less a placeholder.
Apparently the hiems are all upgraded...
Update: Got the definently completely new and redesigned full flight a arms
I'm a bit annoyed because I preferred the bushing design for longevity and I had to wait for them to make these, which it looks like they took an old set off the shelf and swapped on the new ball joint ends.
This is the only thing worrying me about the axle... the groove they put in the expanding nut doesn't totally cover the snap ring like it does on the other side. Anyone familiar with this, is it normal? I'm considering having a machine shop make the groove a little deeper for safety sake
Pulling the judder springs seems to have helped but it still isn't perfect. Running the original lever and likely cable too. You might be onto something with the cable being worn/stretched... if I don't upgrade to the raptor set up I'll at least replace the old one
Yeah the hub nuts being rode loose before I got the quad is one of the reasons i replaced the axle and hubs. The splines were just hammered. I've got every bolt I've touched paint marked for exactly that reason, easy to recheck. The axle is a niche adjustable one (same as the tusk/gforce) with...
It's back on all four wheels till the front stuff comes in. The suspension is buttery smooth and my rear brakes actually stop. This niche axle is weird with the clips, the big nut side especially but so far so good.
Next step is to tinker with the clutch again and if I have time this week do the...
Got an ebc carbon clutch, didnt come with instructions so I installed it with the judder springs like factory. It never wants to fully let go and if I adjust it so it does it slips at wot.
Gonna take it apart and remove the springs to see if this solves my problems but in the event this clutch...
Sadly ran out of time past this point but that's how things go. I'm not in a crazy rush, my a arms are still probably 2 weeks out and I've got some other matinence things to do so I'm taking my time with it. Everything that's supposed to move has grease, everything that's not supposed to move...
The teardown on the rear half has begun. My swingarm bearings were a little out of spec so I decided it best just replace them.
The rear axle and hub splines are all wallered out and won't hold tight, the rear brakes mildly exploded, chain and sprockets worn out, and the whole shebang could use...
Welp, been poking around here for about a year already I guess it's time to do the obligatory build thread.
It's been coming together in phases, and over a long period of time. I'm now about to enter a pretty substantial bit of matinence and upgrades so I wanted to take a moment to reflect...
