yea, feathering the clutch when you shift into or out of reverse works like a charm, that's what I do every time and it just falls into place.

umm, you cant go in any deeper with a hole in the box lid than you can with no lid at all. cutting a hole in the lid renders that little snorkel useless

Sorry, that's what i meant by engage the starter, there's enough juice to engage the solenoid, but once it's engaged the starter sucks up all the juice so there's not enough to hold the solenoid open so it closes, then the starter's out of the loop so there's enough power for the solenoid again...

That's a good plan. You're not ripping them off if they believe it's a good deal.

I wouldn't say you got ripped off, you just didn't get the best deal possible. a lot of dealers charge destination charges, I don't remember if I paid one though, I financed 4800 for the quad and a helmet after an 800 dollar down payment. I think they did charge me like 100 bucks or something...
