Before you get stated make sure you have tools handy.

Valve compressor
Hand lap tool
Valve lap permatex
Break clean

There is already a howto on rr valves so im not gonna go into that.

Compress springs and remove valves. Once removed you can see what your working with.

Now take your permatex and lapping tool

Take a dap and smear it around valve seat and on valve.

Reinstall valve and suction lapping tool to top of valve.

Take you hand and spin tool like your trying to start a fire with a stick.

Once your done you can see the seat is polished.

You may have to repeat a few times. Once done make sure to fully clean out valve and head with cleaner to remove all permatex.
 
Nice post, G. I do it a Lil bit different, I place a stud in my drill and attach a piece of vacuum hose to it, then to the valve stem. I place a dab of the lapping compound on the valve by just pulling the valve off it's seat and scrapping my finger under the edge. Then I pull the valve closed and apply light pressure to the tulip end of the valve and slowly rotate the drill 1st one direction then the other until I feel the seat clear.
