It was in pretty decent shape but needed a few small things.
First thing I did was clean carb and install a new battery. Found out it needed a starter. So while waiting on parts, I cleaned a few things up.

More pics tomorrow

lookin good dude! make sure you prep the frame good! lots of sanding and degreaser should do it. what color ya paintin it?

Haha I love how it goes from "yeah I'll just clean up a few parts" to "**** it, might as well"

Those were my words exactly jake...haha

It's going blaze red, factory jeep color. I'm leaning towards white plastics.

I sure hope so! White plastics, red frame, few polished pieces, slammed, and polished wheels are the plans...
I got new grips, polished throttle and brake covers, lowering kit, starter rebuild kit all in today. Still waiting for exhaust.

I'm going to polish the side covers on the motor. Been thinking about painting motor black and polishing the fins also.

^ polish then clear coat. trust me, if ya dont you will have to polish after every ride! black and polished fins would look sweet!

I agree with both the things Alex said.. Definitly use some clear.. And the black, and polished would look schweet!
Just remember it is an air cooled motor, and you don't wanna layer the paint/clear on the cooling fins. It could cause cooling issues.

yeah agreed on the cooling fin paint very light layers of high temp paint will do it good.

CLEARED!! The last pic is with the flash right on it so its throwing the color off a little. This was to basically show the metallic in the paint.

That looks great man!!!
I'm gonna do a red kinda like that when I redo my frame. I painted it last year, but have to do more welding on it.. So it's gonna need to be repainted.

What kind of paint did you use?
