HAS anyone road the coal mines in trevorton pa, a bunch of us were thinking about going up we are from delaware but not sure how it is up there is there passes we have to get n is there places to stay over night its about 3 hrs from us so just wanted to see wat people think before we made the ride
 
I've wanted to go for some time now. I have buddy that go there and ride a lot. Never been so I dunno the logistics of it all yet.
 
Hi. I have ridden up there for a couple of years and can say that the trails are nice. You do need the permit as said above. I have never needed to lodge up there so I can not help you with that but you can see the town from the coal hill. There may be some hotel in there. You could also camp. Here is my channel so you can see what it is like. You park at the coal hill and can ride there or go into the trail. There are a lot of trails up there and it is definitely a fun place to ride.

how far is that from you DEAD ? about 4hrs from me. I go to olyphant area, only 2 hrs, no permit, and met a guy that knows the area like the back of his hand.
 
i was up there over the summer. pretty good ridin. i didnt need any kind of permit though.
