Oil leak

I have an oil leak where my case seperates right im the middle of the motor.What sould i do?Should i drain the oil let it stop dripping and use gasket maker?i dont want to tear it down i just put rings and gasket set in there.

It the leak on the top or bottom? U sure thats where its coming from? What the case cracked once before? I've never heard of a stock case having a leak, they were all factory tested.

i think the last owner opened the case.there is a lil bit of gasket maker on there i noticed

maybe get it dry and get some high temp water proof rvt gasket maker like black permatex and put it on the outside of the case where it is leaking. If you don't want to replace the gasket that's the only way I can think of

How is the crank case held together.is there bolts.could they have come loose

they shouldn't come loose, but you make sure they are all tight
