i'm looking for a cheap gps unit to use while making trails on property. one of the features that is a must is the ability to download the info onto a computer. if anyone has one or recommends a particular model, let me know.

yup, garmin etrex.....nice piece, can use the computer and it comes with everything you need. I got one in the beginning of summer and I think it was like $120.00 at best buy. Just doesn't have a color screen.
 
so, with the etrex, you are able to download/upload your routes onto your computer so that they can be printed/edited?
 
yes, go to best buy's website and you can get all of the exact details there.
