Stripped Bolt Removal

First time I went to change my oil, I found that the drain plug had been installed by a gorilla. Even using a good quality 6 point socket, the corners just crumbled. A member on another forum suggested using the Sears Bolt-Out. I was sceptical but it worked great, it took over 95 ft lbs before it loosened.

YES, those are great, i have the SNAP ON version of that tool, Strip sockest is what i call them but they come in handy when working on anything over 5-10 years old. I slap them on my IR titanium and let er rip, the bolts don't stand a chance.

my oil plug was stripped to.. guy i bought it from must of used wrong size socket ...cut a notch in it with a cutoff wheel n tapped it around..

Mine was stripped also I heated it then pounded on a socket size too small and used a impact.
